Jars

Me and my mother have been saving jars, at the moment I have mainly been using them for storage, In one I have all my beads and charms, in another all my ribbon, and one for all my flowers.
They're not just plain, I've added glass transfers and I've painted one of the transfers.
The transfers I've been using have been butterflies and flowers. Iv still got quite a few jars left. But I'm not sure what to use them for.
Any ideas?

Hand made rose out of a can.

So I've been not so busy on the craft front, but I have been making a few things, one of them being a Rose. I managed not to cut myself on the can while cutting the can apart. It was really easy to make.
First I found a diagram on Google of a rose, or the parts of a rose, then I started cutting and bending the petals, to put it together I used a hot glue gun, once the rose was made I made two leaves and glued them on, Also just for added shine I added a little gem in the middle.
WARNING
When using a hot glue gun make sure you don't get it on yourself.
I'm telling you from personal experience.

So this is my floral hair clip. It didn't take me long to make, all I needed was a glue gun and some flowers.
WARNING!!
Don't burn yourself on the hot glue gun, it hurts....
Take it from personal experience.

Gingermelon

Iv recently found this Blog, and I must say its beautiful. All of the dolls, teddies and other things she has made make me all warm and fuzzy. When I get some money, I think I'm going to have to get some fabric and start using the textile skills I learnt in high school.
Here is the link!

Hand made house.

Finally finished, it doesn't look as good as I've hoped, but, its a first draft.
It was really easy to make, it involved six pieces of standard cardboard, PVA glue, news paper, tape and paint.
First I used the first piece of cardboard to create the outside. then I taped the sides just to keep it strong.
After that I made the roof, pretty standard rectangle and bent in half to create the roof, then I taped that down also.
After that I used the paper mache technique to strengthen the structure. Easy and sticky.
When that had dried I used the last four pieces of cardboard to make the roofing above the window and door, and the chimney. the roofing above the windows was made the same way I made the roof of the house. But instead of tape I  simply glued them down, then again used the paper mache technique. For the chimney I Simple made a cube out of the cardboard then, glued it down, and repeated the paper mache technique.
Next i added the paint. Simple and easy.
Great to make with your children or If your like me, Bored.
